The Curious Dolphin and the Floating Ship
One sunny morning in the deep blue sea, a little dolphin named Daisy was happily swimming and playing with bubbles. She loved to explore every corner of the ocean — from shiny coral reefs to hidden caves full of colorful fish.
As Daisy swam near the surface, she suddenly noticed something strange.
It was big, shiny, and floating on the water!
“Hmm… what is that?” Daisy wondered, tilting her head.
It looked nothing like a whale, not like a jellyfish, and definitely not like a sea turtle.
Curious as ever, Daisy swam closer and closer until she could see people moving on it.
“They’re walking on the sea!” she gasped. “How can they do that?”
Excited and puzzled, Daisy quickly swam back home to tell her mother.
“Mama! Mama!” she squeaked. “I saw something huge on the water! It’s moving, and there are humans on top of it! Is it alive?”
Her mother chuckled softly. “Oh, Daisy, that’s not a sea creature. That’s a ship.”
“A ship?” Daisy blinked. “What’s a ship?”
Her mother smiled and said, “Humans build ships to travel across the sea. They can’t swim like us, so they make these big floating boats to carry them and their things over the water.”
Daisy’s eyes sparkled. “So it’s like a giant seashell that carries humans?”
Her mother laughed. “Yes, you could say that! But remember, ships float on the sea — they don’t live in it like we do.”
Daisy looked back toward the light above, where the ship was sailing away.
“Wow,” she whispered, “the sea has so many secrets — even humans float on it!”
And from that day on, whenever Daisy saw a ship passing by, she would wave her fin and giggle,
“Hello, humans on your floating seashell!”
