Mighty parrot and the tiny ant
In the heart of a bright, busy jungle lived a smart and kind parrot named Perry. His feathers were as green as fresh leaves, and his beak shone like gold in the sunlight.
Everyone in the jungle loved Perry — not just because he could talk, but because he always used his clever mind and strong wings to help others.
When the monkeys couldn’t reach ripe mangoes, Perry plucked them down.
When the rabbits got lost in tall grass, Perry guided them home from above.
And when someone was sad, Perry cheered them up with his funny voices and stories.
Yes — Perry was truly the hero of the jungle sky.
One sunny afternoon, Perry was flying high, enjoying the cool breeze above the trees. He looked down and admired the shining river, the dancing butterflies, and the colorful flowers below.
But suddenly, he heard a tiny voice crying for help.
“Help! Someone please help me!”
Perry stopped mid-air and looked around. The voice was faint, almost like a whisper. He listened carefully again.
“Down here!”
Perry swooped lower and spotted a tiny ant struggling near a puddle. The poor thing had fallen into the muddy edge of the river and was trying hard to climb out — but the slippery mud pulled her back every time.
“Oh no!” Perry gasped. “That little one is in danger!”
He fluttered down quickly and called out, “Hold on, little friend! I’m here!”
The ant looked up weakly. “Oh, please help me, Mr. Parrot! The water’s rising, and I can’t climb out!”
Without wasting a second, Perry looked around and spotted a dry leaf floating nearby. With his strong beak, he picked it up and gently placed it beside the puddle.
“Climb onto the leaf!” he said kindly.
The ant crawled onto the leaf carefully, her tiny legs trembling. Once she was safe, Perry lifted the leaf gently in his claws and flew her to dry ground.
“There you go,” he said, smiling. “Safe and sound!”
The ant shook off the mud and looked up at him gratefully. “Thank you, Perry! You saved my life. I thought I was gone forever.”
Perry laughed softly. “Oh, don’t say that! No one is too small to be saved — and no act of kindness is too small to matter.”
The ant nodded and said, “I may be tiny, but I’ll never forget your kindness. Someday, I’ll help you too.”
Perry chuckled. “I’ll remember that, little one.”
From that day on, Perry and the ant became friends. Wherever Perry flew, he often saw her working hard near the river, waving her antennae happily whenever she saw him.
And the jungle animals admired Perry even more — not just for his strength or his beauty, but for his kind heart that cared for even the smallest creature.
Moral of the Story: True greatness comes from kindness — even the smallest good deed can make the biggest difference.
