Dodo and the Lost Game
One sunny morning in the jungle, a young deer named Dodo was hopping happily between trees. He had a shiny red ball — his favorite game! He bounced it high, kicked it gently, and laughed as it rolled through the grass.
But when a butterfly fluttered by, Dodo got distracted. “Wow! What pretty wings!” he said, chasing after it. When he came back, the red ball was gone!
“Oh no! Where did my game go?” Dodo cried, looking under the trees and between the rocks. He searched near the stream, behind the flowers, and even under his favorite mango tree — but the ball was nowhere to be found.
Feeling sad, Dodo went home to his mother.
“Mama,” he said with droopy ears, “I lost my favorite game. I can’t find it anywhere!”
His mother smiled kindly and said, “Did you look behind the big bush near the playground?”
Dodo shook his head. “No, I didn’t think to check there.”
Mama Deer walked with him to the big bush behind the playground. She gently moved the leaves aside — and there it was! The shiny red ball lay safe and sound.
“My game!” Dodo shouted with joy, jumping with excitement. “Thank you, Mama!”
Mama smiled and said softly, “Remember, my dear, always pay attention to your things. If you’re careful, you won’t lose what you love.”
Dodo nodded. “I’ll be careful next time!” he promised.
From that day on, whenever Dodo played, he always kept an eye on his red ball — and he never lost it again.
Moral: Always take care of your belongings and stay attentive — it saves you from trouble!
